| Re: painted rims i was going to paind my sportsman rims black. but bought some ss rims. i think they are powder coated, well at least mine are.

| Re: painted rims I did the rims on my bear about 3 months ago, we've been out a few times in the snow and muck and they are still holding out. I gave them 3 coats of black and 2 coats of clear. |

You won't be out too much if it starts to chip or peel & that'll give you time to look for a set of gently used rims (most often will have tires already mounted). Going used will save you a ton of cash, keep an eye on the classifieds etc.
