Re: Little Fun on the Electric Dirt Bike

The first clip with no music and it drives by is so weird. You can barely hear a sound coming from it. That would be nice if you're heading to a friends cottage at night, don't have to worry about waking the neighbours

Thanks for the video!

Re: Little Fun on the Electric Dirt Bike

Wow its really quiet, and looks like it goes pretty good. Seems light, and could be the way of the future.

Re: Little Fun on the Electric Dirt Bike

Thanks guys yeah the bike makes no noise except for chain going round. The zero goes from 0-50 in 2 seconds and has a top speed of 85 km. It is pretty wicked. In my opinion it does not replace a moto yet but this is the solution if you have an acreage close to others and dirt bikes are a no go...

Re: Little Fun on the Electric Dirt Bike

So how long/far can you go on a charge? Also is it hampered by extreme conditions?

That's pretty cool.

Re: Little Fun on the Electric Dirt Bike

The battery will last 45 minutes on an arena cross style track as you are pinning it a lot. Remember this thing will keep up with a 250 F. However on trails where you are on and off the throttle 2-2 1/2 hours is common. It works best in tight single track, in open terrain you'd be on the throttle lots and battery life goes down. It is hard not to pin it as it hits hard.

Can be ridden in any conditions a dirt bike can...water etc. The street version goes 80km on a charge, looks like a super moto...
check it out on their web site ZERO MOTORCYCLES ? The Electric Motorcycle Company - Official Site

I had it up in Lytton in this video and left it outside to minus 15 in the morning it turned on but would not go so warmed the battery up by the fire for 20 minutes and no problems. The next night I kept it in a buddies trailer...
