help! polaris 325 no fuel to carb... I think?

Ok so the trail boss wont start so I have checked the plug, coil, and fuel filter all good, someone suggested a faulty kill switch in the throttle, but thats fine, so I took apart the carb, the injector isnt plugged, but i did notice that when I took the 2 fuel lines off the carb that they were pretty dry and no fuel came out. I cranked it over to see if fuel would feed but no. Does the engine have to be running to get fuel in the carb? What is the hexigon shaped thing on the front of the frame, its just after the fuel filter and the 2 fuel line to the carb come off it, could there be aproblem in there?

The hexagon thing should be your fuel pump.It works off crankcase pressure/vacuum.If it were a faulty kill switch you would not have spark at the plug.Do you have spark at the plug???
There are so many thing's it could be.

pur some gas in the spark plug hole and start it if it starts its the carbs and if its the carbs check the vacumm line that goes to the crankcase and check it. then make sure there is gas in the bike. check to make sure the petcock is working correctly.

Check the gas tank, see if there is fuel?
