 | Re: atv death on the IHT Boy, 6, killed in ATV mishap Edmonton JournalSeptember 14, 2009 A six-year-old boy is dead after an ATV crash east of Edmonton on Saturday. At about 6:20 p.m., Elk Point RCMP responded to the crash in a rural area near the hamlet of Heinsburg. An injured six-year-old child was declared dead at the scene. An adult man was also injured, but not seriously, said Const. Troy Feero of the Elk Point RCMP. The pair were driving along the Iron Horse Trail, a former rail line now used by off-road vehicles. The RCMP did not release any further details, citing the need for privacy during an ongoing investigation. Investigators are not releasing information such as whether the child was wearing a helmet, the relation between the child and adult or what happened to cause the crash. The investigation continues. Heinsburg is about 250 kilometres northeast of Edmonton Very sad

| Re: atv death on the IHT So sad to hear about anyone passing away while having fun, even more difficult to hear about a child. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. It is my hope that they will be able to celebrate the life of little Hayden, and the 6 precious years he was with them. |
