Cool, I learned to ride street on a 70's Norton 750 Cammando, they were heavy, oil leaking, tempermental pigs but fun to ride.

There is something crazy about a 4 cylinder 2 stroke on the street. It has no low end torque at all, so it is a little hard to launch it from a stand still. Then you roll on the throttle and it feels like an old Honda 100 trailbike up to about 6000 rpm. Then the powervalves start to open. You had better be leaning forward then. The first hit happens at 6500 and the world starts going by fairly quickly. The valves open fully at about 8800 and it is insane up to 11000. The wheelies still scare me. It will do 110 in first gear so the front wheel comes up at about 90. What a rush.

I still ride my 1979 Yamaha XS 1100 SE
Midnight black and chrome, those bikes still look sharp.
