Avalanche Course in Revelstoke, BC (April 2-4)

Hey Folks,

I'm offering a 2.5 day avalanche course for sledders (Avalanche Skills Training Level 1) out of Revelstoke on April 2-4. Friday night is in the classroom for roughly 3.5 hours and Sat/Sunday are field days. We'll be covering how to use beacons (single and multiple burials), companion rescue skills, safe riding habits and terrain hazard recognition. I'll also show how to dig into the snowpack and identify weak layers and weak snowpacks.

My background is ski guiding and as an avalanche proffesional with over 12 seasons of experience. I have a sled, but use it primarily for access and yes, it is fun!
