Polaris 500 HO Question

I have a 2002 Polaris 500 HO. When I turn my lights on (high or low) they work fine for about 20 minutes then they start flashing on and off. What what be causing this?

Re: Polaris 500 HO Question

My 600 did this and it was a 20 amp relay that is located under the front cover in front of the light pod. I went to canadian tire and got another one. My lights would stay on for a while then shut down for about 5 minutes . Then come back on.The relay is in a black sealed bag looking thing. Mine was very hot when I left the lights on so I was able to figure out which one was shorting out.
Let me know if this works.

Steve

Re: Polaris 500 HO Question

that might not work because the 500's don't have fuses and relays.

Re: Polaris 500 HO Question

This has crossed my mine. Is the bike trying to tell me something? It runs great otherwise. I don't have an owners manuel. We have a dealership in town, maybe I should stop in there and see what they have to say.
Thanks,

Al
