![]() | Re: Gps Not exactly. The GPS can give you a straight line bearing to the co-ordinate but will not follow the trail for you. It will however record your track and allow you to reverse the track so you can follow it back to your starting point. You can also mark "waypoints" at trail intersections and store these waypoints to find them in the future. Trail GPS units don't work like nav systems in your car as trails aren't mapped in as much detail as roads and city streets. They are an excellent tool but require some practice to use effectively.
