660 Grizzly Vapour Lock

Hey guys,

Buddy of mine has a 660 grizz that is going through vapour lock issues. Anyone have a fix for the problem? Heard there is a kit available at dealer free of charge but that may have been back when it was new/ under warranty?
read elsewhere that it is some heat tape to bottom of gas tank and some holes in side panels... if so does anyone have pics of modded side panels? Like to make sure we are drilling out the proper areas.

Thanks.

All you need to do is drill out the side panels that your knees tap on when riding get some ventilation happening, when I switched to Amsoil 0w40 atv oil believe it or not it also ran a whole bunch cooler, also try a small amount of water wetter in the coolant. And clean your rad thoroughly, scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner cleans it up spotless.

Re: 660 Grizzly Vapour Lock

make cut outs in the removable side panels on either side to vent the heat out. i also used some screen material(the aluminum, not the palstic stuff) and covered the vents so not AS much debris got back in, plus it gives it a better look!
