Discuss Cattaract Creek. in the WESTERN CANADIAN RIDING (BC/Alberta) forums; Drove out yesterday and there was 6"-8" in the parking lot.Forcast is for more snow this week....

| Re: Catterac Creek. Hey people,great site.I just joined last week. Catarac/Etherington Creek area is about 1/2 hour west of Longview.You basically drive to the Highwood junction,where the highway closure is,then turn left(south).Follow the gravels road(usually snow covered by now) for 5min to get to Etherington loading area and 8min to Catarac parking.Both enter the same trail network.There is both trail riding on groomed(when snow permits) and ungroomed trails.Yes,there is decent mountain riding about 1hr ride in to the west and south. If anyone makes it doen ther this weekend I would sure like an update.I am thinking of heading down the weekend of the Dec 8/9 and will update after that.

 | Re: Catterac Creek. Catarac creek is great for learning to ride and its great for families. We are, well me depending if i get this freaking cast off...taking our Kids there for their first mountain "experience"! Hope someone posts conditions. OH also if there is lots of snow the riding is GREAT for the powder and more serious riders. |
