Brazeau Dam - Any Riding Updates?

Looking to go riding this weekend (June 19-21) for the first time near the Brazeau Dam on the East side of the road and ramdon camp with the family. I've read lots about stolen equipment, break-ins, etc. any recent updates on what the "locals" are up to, and area riding conditions. Plus I just bought my 5 yr. old his first 50cc dirt bike, looking for some open areas to camp around the Brazeau so he can practice learning and doing circles.

I don't know exactly what areas have been closed by the dam there?????? I would look around at posts from the past few months to see.
