track is what came on the sled.two mods i have done so far are exhaust and clutching, the exhaust sounds nuts lots of guys think its turboed, done the clutch because it use to hit the limiter now its in the sweet spot 10500.just in the process of buying a cold air intake, should have it in two weeks.

M&M Motorsports - The Yamaha Specialists

Not sure what exhaust TS has on his Apex but this is what I suggest (exhaust). I would also get a lightweight seat and do a clutch adjustment when you change the exhaust.

You might want to look at this for a suspension mod.

Timbersled Products

If you are going to TURBO then the 3 choices are

Alpine (Front Mount) MCX (Rear Mount) or Synergy (Mid Mount).

If it is a Super Charger you want then it's

MPI

I also highly recommend contacting CRRacing in K-Town

CR Racing

OVER!!!

ps...you really need to long track that sled.

There is a shop here in central AB, that has built some of the nastiest Apex's I've ever seen. It's called Extreme Machines. He's out by Sylvan Lake, my machine is going there in the new year. The guy is awesome and really nows his stuff!

.............

I would have mentioned EXTREME MACHINES

but that CHOMO Captain Jack Sparrow doesn't have a website yet....

Yes he has built some NASTY sleds ....McGREGORS GREEN MONSTER...2 times BDSO CHAMP.... and recently performed surgery on my APEX.

I highly recommend this shop to anyone (they work on all types of sleds and specialize building custom sleds)...this peep knows his stuff and is very reasonable on his pricing. You can pm me for his phone #.

OVER!!!

ps....Please don't drop my sled off the truck on the way down to CowTown tomorrow PLEASEEEEEEE!!!.....

Re: Yamaha apex question

Apex06
1st - smart move gettin the RTX if you plan on mod - why buy the same chit twice.
2nd - FAB's right with the CR tunnel - his web site has the prices
3rd - there is a sale on 162 X 2.25 X 3pitch - check SW
quatro - the skid - economy choice, talk to some of the mod shops as they are always replacing stock to mod, and will have some stockers kickin around
upgrade to EZ Rider, peeps have lotsa good ffed back on em or go for the gusto M10 and if you had a real good year the M10 with a live axle.

Oh and raise the bars. It will make that APEX feel real lite.

Most importantly, have fun. You have an awesome sled.

Why?....Do they make you go faster? Go higher? Add horsepower?

If they do any of the above let me know and I will get right on it.

OVER!!!

ps...If they just make it prettier....I'll pass, I am HOT enough already.
