You would do much better when the snow is setup. In the powder you may get stuck alot. Hopefully the guys you ride with have patience.

Re: would my sled survive?

i dont think there is a 121 3" track.

better off to slap on a 144x 2.3 or 2.0 camo extreme that way you dont have to mess with drivers or anything and you will have an awesome all around machine and could just use rail extensions.

rail extensions?? what are those and how do the work? would that be any easier than buying a whole new slider cage?

Your 700 has plenty of power to turn a 144 x 2" track, you can go a lot of places with that track. I kept my 700 Summit with a 144 x 2" (because every now and again it's a riot to drive the smaller track especially through the trees) & I could go most places. The only time your going to have issues is deep powder climbing hills & if you stop facing up hill in deep powder otherwise it is respectable. JMO

Re: would my sled survive?

rail extensions just extend your existing skidframe to the length you need. 121-144 is comon and the extensions are about 100$ and just bolt onto the back of the machine in about 20 minuts. however changing the track is the difficult part.

it wouldnt be any eaasier to buy a new skidframe. but would cost alot more.

Re: would my sled survive?

Extend your rails on the Ski-Doo to allow use of longer tracks for more flotation and better performance in deep snow conditions. Includes all hardware needed to install rail extensions.

Extension Packges:

Includes Track, Rail Extensions and Tunnel Extension along with Mounting Hardware for any snowmobile we make parts for.

Check a after market website for size and fitting.
