How much experience do you have? Remember the Safety gear, and take courses when you can?

Now if your asking if the sled will beable to getter done in the mountains, I'd say yea without issues.

Yup you'll be fine. It's a little harder to manouver believe it or not in deep powder but will climb most any hill you need to.

The mountains are like a ski hill. There are green areas and black and everything inbetween. Valemount is excellent there is always something for everyone to ride. Just use common sense and go with peeps that have been before and you will have a blast!! Ride safe.

I have never been there before just started riding last winter. I was just wondering if my sled will be able to get around.

I will be going with my cousin and some friends who have been there quite a bit.

Is there anything you can think of other than this to make it work out a little better in the powder?

Re: will i be ok in the mountains

move the spacers on your skis to the outside so the stance is narrower. also remove the sway bar. will help.

For a new rider I would try and get the skis as close together as possible as Maxwell stated. Leave the sway bar as it changes the handling too much on that sled. Other than that when in doubt gas is your friend!! Use it! If you go to Alan stay closer to the cabin. If you go to Clemina "morning glory" is a good place to start. Stay more to the right as you enter as there are creeks and such more to the left.
