What is a 2003 Summit Worth??

I'm looking at selling my 2003 Summit 800HO with a 144" track. It has 2428. Just installed new crank and pistons. Boss seat, mbrp can. Great Shape.

seen a few on kijiji for 5000-5500 which is too much so yeah if you go below that you should get a email or call fairly soon i would think anyways. good luck

you guys are generalizing.

chances are if a summit is priced at 5000 there is most likely a reason.

yes a beat to death 2003 summit 800 with 5000 origional miles origional motor no maintenance no receipts. yeah sure 3000.

but a prestine 2003 may be worth up to 5500.

and 5000 or less for a rev...even 6000 for that matter.. look out...some are good some area bad!

There would have to be a really good reason to spend $5500 on a 03 summit with ZERO miles. Sure its brand new, but regardless its 7 years old. Sleds don't hold much value after a few years. Spend $5000-6000 on a 03 and should it get stolen, the insurance company will never give you that. They give you fair market value. The average of what all other sleds that age are selling for.

On top of that, why drop $5000 on older technology, upgrade to a lightly used Rev for hundreds more.

Again, just an opinion. I like the older summits, but even if I had money to blow, I wouldn't spend more than $3000-3500 on one in excellent cond with low miles even if I wanted one.

you wouldnt find one for 3000.i check classifieds every day and have looked at alot of machines. depends what everyones deffinition of a good machine is.

great condition zx 800 = 4000-5000

great condition rev = 6500-8000

great condition xp 8500+

03 Summit should be in the 3000 range, maybe low 4000. I wouldn't pay more for it!

The original question is WHAT iS IT WORTH.....not what every joe blow is selling them for. People often try to get more than what the item is worth.

Check out the Kelley Blue blue value on sleds. Take the average of what the trade in value is, and the retail value (assuming the sled has been restored to show room condition) and you get $3000 US. Now with our stronger than average dollar, maybe you could suggest they are worth more. A few hundred dollars maybe, not thousands.
