![]() | Re: What is a 2003 Summit Worth?? There would have to be a really good reason to spend $5500 on a 03 summit with ZERO miles. Sure its brand new, but regardless its 7 years old. Sleds don't hold much value after a few years. Spend $5000-6000 on a 03 and should it get stolen, the insurance company will never give you that. They give you fair market value. The average of what all other sleds that age are selling for. On top of that, why drop $5000 on older technology, upgrade to a lightly used Rev for hundreds more. Again, just an opinion. I like the older summits, but even if I had money to blow, I wouldn't spend more than $3000-3500 on one in excellent cond with low miles even if I wanted one. |

Check out the Kelley Blue blue value on sleds. Take the average of what the trade in value is, and the retail value (assuming the sled has been restored to show room condition) and you get $3000 US. Now with our stronger than average dollar, maybe you could suggest they are worth more. A few hundred dollars maybe, not thousands. Snowmobiles - Kelley Blue Book 59474 - use this zip code for AB. It is MT and the closest zone for price comparison. I do my research too. There is Market Value, book value and what its worth value. |
