tips for big lug sleds on trail

hey there, i have just purchased my first "mountain" sled with a 146 track and 2 1/8 lug...i do most of my riding off trail, however i am not completely able to avoid the groomed trails, and sometimes depending on the group i have to spend a bit of time on the trails, before venturing into the fun stuff.

i have just gotten off of an 800 121' ripsaw, which had no issues on the trails, just wondering what i need to look out for to keep from breaking lugs, damaging the bigger track, and keeping this thing together so i can play in the deep snow.

and if i am thinking too much about it, let me know. i just dont want to be spending 1000 bucks o a track when i could have avoided it down the road.

thanks

Get some scratchers and take advantage of any loose snow you can find. Unless the trail is really hard, or icy, you should be okay. Keep an eye on your sliders and be easy on the throttle in the poor conditions.

Use the scratchers and keep speeds down on the hard pack. Big one is keeping the heat out of the track and causing it to delaminate. lugs flying off!!
