Slidekicks Ice scratchers

Hey guys Im new to this forum and i am chiming in to get your opinion.
I am tired of breaking ice scratchers so i went searching and found slidekicks.
They say they are reverse compatible, that sounds good but i havent heard much about these so thats why i need your help. The cheapest place i could find them was on ebay.If you wouldnt mind looking at the link and letting me know if they are worth the money.
Thanks,

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

You have got to be damn cheap to put a couple of old combine springs on a
7 -10,000.00 dollar sled. I have heard some guys really like the coated wire.

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

We had 4 or 5 sets in our group last yr...just as advertised they don't break in reverse but the downside was they didn't work when you were going forward lol.As posted above they had no down pressure and did nothing on the trail...Just my 2 cents.

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

Put a set on my Rev 800 last season and I won't run anything else now. I love em. Don't think they'll work real well on ice but on packed snow they work great. Actually amazing how much they kick up for so little downward pressure. Usually leave mine down all day. They have to be installed properly, which I think a lot of people have made the mistake of incorrect installation. No worries in reverse or loading onto trailer. Anybody I know around here who has them really like them. If you swear that personally you don't like em, there are the reverse compatable hard wire type. There's an pivot point half way down the wire arm which flips backward if you reverse with em down.

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

I put a set on last year, hated them for the first couple rides, didn't do anything, then one of the guys in my group pointed out that I had them on wrong. They work great as long as you install them right.

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

I have the coated cable's on all three of my sleds, they work great when they are installed properly. I wont use anything other than these now that I have used them.

Re: Slidekicks Ice scratchers

I've had three sets of those scratchers and all of them, the wire pulled out of the crimped steel. They just did not last.
