No Spark one Day, Spark the next

Hey All,
So I put my Skiddo Summit 600 2000 Model away after last winter and all was running fine. Throughout the summer I did not start the machine ven once which I know is not good to start with. The other day I went out to fire it for the first time and it would not go. After fiddling for awhile I checked for spark and there was none. I loaded it on my truck and brought it to my heated shop to do some further checking. After letting it sit for the night I went in the morning and it fired up the first pull but only ran for a few seconds. I checked and sure enough / obviously there was spark. I started it a few more times with the same bog down reaction. Later on in the day it would not start and when I checked for spark once again I had none. I left it alone for the night again and when came in this morning sure enough there is spark again. Anyone have any ideas???

Spin it over quite a few time's, It could be something as simple as a film of rust built up on your Mag and playing tricks on you and causing the spark to be of and on. Just my .02 worth.

Good Luck

Re: No Spark one Day, Spark the next

On the Mag you say there could be rust. Are you talking on the stator itself or on the flywheel contacts? I have pulled it apart down to the flywheel and cleaned those contacts off good. However to get at the Stator it looks like i need to loosen the nut off the end of the crank shaft. Anyone ever taken one of these apart? Anything I should watch for when I do pull that cover off?
