No Asa Jamboree This Year???

DID I HEAR THE RUMOUR CORRECTLY THAT THERE IS NO "ASA" JAMBOREE THIS YEAR..... THOUGHT I HEARD SLEDDERGLEN MUTTER SUMTHIN' ABOUT THERE BEING NO JAMOBOREE?????

As I understand it no club has put their name in for it this year. Hopefully someone will step up before the awards weekend.

Im so far out of the ASA loop that I dont know for sure. BUT no club put a bid in at the spring meeting. What with the oil industry still going pretty heavy its hard to get hotel rooms for everone. Also a lot of work on the volunteers to run a Jamboree. We may have to doo is just participate more in some of those large rallies such as Whitecourt (hint,hint)

That's a shame, I would have thought after all the snow we had last year someone would have really wanted to do it.

We discussed it but right now we are not in the place to do it, maybe once our connector to Alberta Beach is done and operating, we might look at a joint venture, it is quite disappointing to see that NOBODY at all stepped up.

We will know more after the Fall AGM in a couple of weeks. Lets hope that something happens it`s always a good event even if it`s just a fancy rally. One thing that will be missed is seeing all the people that you see each year.

I'm sure some club will step up at the meeting. I can't imagine that we will go a year without a jamboree if there is enough snow.

Sad day for snowmobilers No Jamboree. As of yesterday there is no planned Jamboree in Alberta. There was some discussion about Edson with the help of Whitecourt but nothing finalized as of Sat. We could only hope that Edson sends in a proposial to the ASA very soon.
