  | Mountain snow We have a "rainfall warning" from Environment Canada, yahoo! Elkford is at 4300' and Fernie is at 3300' to set the point. This is supposed to be up to 50mm before it is over! It rained all last night in Elkford and I assume it did the same in Fernie. The snow line in Elkford is at 5000' which means that is where the freezing elevation was. The overnight low in Elkford, +2.5 C. The tops of the rocks are nice and white! The rain is supposed to fall pretty much all day. I'll report back later on this evening.....Get out and dance, dance, dance  |

No I haven't as there is no need. With the rain we got last weekend, right to the very top (8000'), it would have pretty much melted any snow that was there. We are quite early for our area as it isn't until early Dec or some years, Xmas that we ride. But it is coming, I'll bet money on that!!! |

| Re: Mountain snow The dear ol' weather man and his WARNINGS!! 50 mm my +ss; didn't materialize again. No rain this afternoon but it is starting to snow and I can't see the rocks. |
