Re: MBRP Can/Stinger

it's kinda like liposuction for a sled. seen some claim up to 15lbs loss over factory muffler. i think on my 670 it was over 10lbs. some give small hp gains but not alot on the newer machines. just huge weight loss and sound better.

Re: MBRP Can/Stinger

Some cans save weight on sleds some cans so loud they close trails. If you get a can get a can thats quiet as possible please. Lets have fun but save our trails.

Re: MBRP Can/Stinger

They don't do much except for getting rid of the 10 pound 'suitcase' stock muffler. They do sound good but I think it's a hard sell to justify the expense

I have found that some have a very nice sound but some can be a bit too loud for riding the local areas.

Re: MBRP Can/Stinger

The whole horsepower thing is very arguable. I have heard from knowledgeable men who make pipes for a living that it is literally impossible to gain horsepower from a can. However, the 10-15 lbs you lose may seem like a power increase. That's also 15 lbs you're not lifting when you're stuck. Or 15 lbs more junk you can pack . Plus it gets rid of that hair drier sound of a stock sled .
