Fine

I'd stop using NGK plugs, go to the champion equivalent or to an autolite equivalent, I had very similar problems with my old blizzard which was cured by switching plug brands.

Just an idea.

What happens to the plugs? Are the electrodes burning off or are they fouling
or what?

They are just fouling It just starts to run on one cylinder and that plug is wet other than that it looks good. I thought of this after the fact but next time I am going to put the fouled plug in my sled and see what happens. The plug looks like a plug that only has 10 miles on it.
The only other thing is he is running farm fuel(because he is a farmer) and octane booster.

Thanks TylerG
I told him to try a br9eya also to see if it would help.
I run Champion plugs in my sled I will give him a set to try.

Try the plugs. Maybe disconnect the injection pump and pre mix a tank of fuel. See if it's getting too much oil.

Post I Agree With Summiteer

I Would Double Check The Oil Injection Adjustment.... Is He Using A Lot Of Oil, Or Is It Really Hard On Fuel??? If Not, Then You Might Try Ngk Iridium Spark Plugs. I Had To Switch To Them On My '99 670x Mod, Because It Seemed To Be Fouling A Lot Of Plugs. I Went All Last Season With 1 Set Of Iridium Spark Plugs, And They're Still Okay For This Season. They Cost A Little More, But Definately Work. The Ngk Rep Recomended Them For Every Sled, And Said Most Sleds Won't Foul Anymore Plugs, Ever???

Oil seems ok I did check the adjustment its ok well for sure try a different plug.
I am also thinking it maybe something to do with the octane boost he is using since it would make the gas harder to ignite(just a thought).
The other thing I was thinking of was this sled about 4 or 5 years ago spent a night in a river up to the seat in water we recovered it the next day thinking that maybe the stator has some rust on it and its not putting out 100%
Thanks for the input guy's!

My brother had the same problem with his 95 summit 583 last year, This year he had to replace the CDI box and has not changed a plug all year. Place the plug on top of the head and pull the rope a few times and watch to see if the spark is the same every time. If it is week or no spark and then a really big spark that is your problem. The best place to get it was at Canadian Motor sports 13138-159 st.

My 2cents worth some of the new oils that are twc111 rated have to high of a flash point and they use aluminum instead of ash for a buffer on an older sledd and with cold air and high humidity the oil will not burn. and oil foils the plugs. drain the oil and try sidoo mineral oil my bet you have nomore problem.

I how for a fact he has not used any newer oils as he only runs run of the mill mineral oil like ufa brand or what ever the gas station has.

I asked him if this started when he started using the octane boost and he is pretty sure it was. He's going to try a different plug first than if that don't work we'll drain the tank and fill it with premium.

Ran all day!

I worked this weekend but heard from my cousin that he put in a set of ngk br9ecs plugs and the never fouled a plug period! That sounds great as he was getting very nervous about riding it anymore.

Thank you every one that replied!!!!
This has turned in to my favorite site !!!!

Wink thank you!!

thanks for giving us the feedback.... I would still try the Iridium spark plugs-- cost a little more, but won't foul plugs at all. glad to see it is working. takes a lot of the stress out of daily life, and now he can get on with whats important --- sledding!!!

Well just thought I would give you a little update. He has only fouled one plug since running br9ecs and one piston. He quit running the octane boost and I am pretty sure that is what took the piston now he went back to the octane boost and fouled a plug but it took a couple of rides to foul one this time compared to about 10 miles before!
