![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Avalanche beacon The BCA Tracker was very popular with a lot of people when I took the avy field course last year. It is very easy to use compared to the SOS beacon. I think the SOS requires a lot more practice so you remember to count the right number of steps depending on the range setting. In a panic situation, I'm sure I would forget. Whatever one you buy it'll come down to practicing to be comfortable using it. My first beacon was an older SOS and I didn't have a clue how to really use it. Not very smart on my part. Do a range check with the people you ride with too. A friend of mine realized his beacon needed to be sent in for calibration cause he wasn't getting the same range as everyone else. He would lose the signal way before me. |

The Snobunjie canada dealer is here in Red Deer and will throw in a bunjie of your choice with the Tracker purchase.
