Rhino S Vs RZR

I got the October Dirt wheels magizine today, they have a writeup on the Rhino Sport Vs. Polaris RZR.

Heres a quick breakdown.

- Rhino Sport $1000 more than RZR
- RZR is designed to fit on regulated ATV trails with 50" limit
- Rhino is 73" tall, Razor is 69" tall
- The seat of the RZR is 7" shorter than the Rhino
- Ground clearence on the RZR is 2" lower than the Rhino
- RZR has cup holders, passenger grab handles and a tilt steering wheel
- Rhino has a glove box and alot of other storage, the RZR just has under the seat but that is shared with the battery
- Rhino travels through sand better than the RZR and the RZR feels unstable in the sandy grooves
- During tip overs the Rhino's cage and chassis do a much better job at keeping the occupents from hitting the dirt.
- The RZR flat outsmokes the Rhino in a drag race.
- Stopping is excellent on both machines
- Downhill engine braking on the RZR is not good, It only works on the back tires and you must apply the brakes first, The Rhino's engine braking is excellent
- 2" longer wheelbase on RZR translates to way better suspention, and 2" more travel
- On the RZR the bodywork between the front and rear wheels wraps underneath and can be easily destroyed if it bottoms out.
- In real tight terrain, the Rhino is hardly handicapped. With a full, positive-locking differential, we could get the Rhino over and through any obsticles the RZR went through.
- After riding hard for two days the Rhino ended up getting a few scratches and lost the rear tail lite, the RZR looked a little worse, many fastners have failed, causing the bodywork to loosen. There were holes in the body where metal pieces punched through the plastic when tipped over.
-They say the abused both machines equally, the Rhino was tested allready on the last test against the Prowler.

There is alot more in the magizine, it is a great comparason and they don't favor either machine they have likes and dislikes for both machines. So you will have to get the Dirt Wheels October Edition to read more.
