Whitemud Poker Rally 2008

April 19th 10.00 am start
$ 20.00 a hand, for the first and 10 dollars for each additional hands.
Last year they had 500 to 600 bikes of all makes, and they have a 10 acre parcel of land for staging and camping available on a first come basis. They will be there friday night to take in campers .
Directions from valleyview, take highway #49 north towards Falher till you get to highway #676 turn left and follow highway for 20 kilometers, passed hutterite colony, to top of hill on right hand side by highway staging area, can"t miss it. From Debolt, go north on highway #676 keep going till you hit pavement again and 2 kilometers east on left hand side is staging area. The trail is 30 to 35 km long and is family oriented, new trail this year and are working with forestry to limit damage to the enviromental areas. Registration and insurance needed.

I was wondering how the trails are. I have a Rhino and just curious if there are trails or bridges that are 2 narrow for the side by sides.

Not to sure about the trail width, I was talking with some people that went last year, they didn't get off the trails till 1am in the morning cause of all the water holes.

Not sure if I'll be there yet but I'll be bringing some tall boots if I can.

kubota king, We are marking the trail this weekend, saturday camp is ready, tent is up, the trail will be alot drier this year , we are not going by any deep creeks, we moved the trail to higher ground, quad racers and small atvs will be able to do the trail this year. the snow is melting quickly and will be a go for the19th of april. the ditches around the camp along the highway is dry already, for parking.

Re: Whitemud ATV Rally April 19,2008

Been going to this rally for 3 years now on my old honda 350 and making it every single time every inch of the way. Just wondering if anyone knows if there will be a more difficult trail as they have had in the past?

Re: Whitemud ATV Rally April 19,2008

Probably around 3.5 to 4 hours. It would be around 3 hours to Vallyview then correct me if I'm wrong but half hour to 45 min from there.

Your looking at 5 hours from Edmonton to the regitration point (4 hours from Edmonton to Valleyview and then 45 from Valleyview to registration point)

Re: Whitemud ATV Rally April 19,2008

Well, did the rally yesterday, had a great time despite the -9 weather.
The trail had about a foot of snow and most of the water holes were frozen although I did manage to fall through one and had to get pulled out by a quad and a rhino

Didn't look like they had as many quads as last year but all there seemed to have a good time, looking forward to next year.

Its about 1 and 1/2 hour ride, about 45km from the little smoky bridge.
I only took one picture as my bat went dead and of course I forgot the spair in the charger.
