ATV RULES
  • Everyone competing signs a waiver of liability
  • Everyone competing will wear a helmet
  • Double elimination racing (side X side). Random Opponents within class
  • We use the double wrist band method. (2 wrist bands to start, 1 loss costs a wrist band, 2 losses and you are eliminated)
  • Winner is determined by the driver and machine crossing the finish line first. (If both competitors get stuck, the driver and machine closest to the finish line is declared the winner)
  • Once your class has started, remain in the pit area.
  • Racers hook tow cable to their machines when stuck.
  • Racers take all ques from the starting marshal at the end of the track.
  • Two false starts in a race in an automatic loss.
  • Rollovers, you will receive help from pit staff. This will be marked as a loss.
  • 4 x 4 racing in 2 wheel drive class, you are required to stay in 2 wheel drive during race. Any attempt to switch over will disqualify you.
  • Racers and their machines are permitted to move up in the various classes but never down.
  • All youth racers in regular classes will be spotted a 25m head start.
  • All decisions by the judges are final.
  • All racers, upon completion of a race will return immediately to the staging area. Failure to do so could result in disqualification. No side repairs, no washing of radiators unless back in staging area
  • If you or your machine is unable to compete when your heat is up, it will be marked as a loss
  • If you are no longer able to compete, notify race officials immediately.
  • By entering A RACE the driver allows the race organization to use his/her name, pictures of his/her machine before/during/and after a race for promotional purposes with no fees/awards/prizes given to the driver
  • Entry form on the link www.forestburg.ca/Userfiles/File/bog in the burg.doc
www.forestburg.ca/UserFiles/File/bog in the burg.doc
BOG IN THE BURG REGISTRATION FORM
  • MINI MUD BOG PIT: aimed at the low cc machines and the younger operators. It is a shallower mud pit that will prove to be fun and entertaining while not being overly discouraging to the drivers. This event is for the 50 to 125 cc machines and operators up to 13 years old.
  • STOCK MACHINE CLASS: this pit was constructed with average ATV owner in mind. It is going to be a challenging and fun but not impossible to conquer. If you have a stock ATC and want to challenge your friends to settle the question of "Who rules the pit" then this is for you.
  • TEX MUD NATIONAL PIT: if you came last year you know the machines that rule this roost. These are the "Big Boys" of mud bogging. This class is for the ATV owner who has a stock ATC and guts galore or the modified race bike owner that laughs at mud and water.
GENERAL CHANGES OVER LAST YEAR
  • We have made a few changes based on last years' racers recommendations:
  • Separate pits for each event
  • showers available to participants
  • Food concessions at site
  • Washrooms available on site
  • Camp sites available
  • Beer Garden
