Calgary Quad Squad general meeting Wed Feb 26 2009 @ 7PM

Dear Calgary Quad Squad (CQS) members and guests,

You are invited to attend the next CQS General Meeting on February 26, 2009 from 7:00-9:30PM.
As per normal, it will be held upstairs in the Hospitality Room at the West Hillhurst Community Hall's Penalty Box Lounge (1940 - 6th Ave NW) where food and refreshments are available for purchase per their menu. Penalty Box Lounge
Current or potential new members are welcome to attend.

We will be discussing the past and present activities of the club, including:
-Review of Oct general meeting minutes
-Clubs financial status
-Recent trade show activities - ASA and Motorcycle shows, McLean Can-AM demo days
-Stewardship activities past and future - Bridge builds, trail repairs, windfall, wood theft, etc
-Dealership support and partnering - Bow Cycle and Seitzco are now providing a 1yr QS membership with each new ATV purchase*.
-Grant funding opportunities - grant applications to be identified and sumbitted, SRD equipment and supplies
-Donations to the Club - equipment, materials, supplies, food, services, trail funds, Silent action items
-Local news - McLean Creek map, Ghost GPS SE trail inventory, AOHVA changes, ATVFrontier and QuadSquad.ca local forums
-Coordinator/committee positions available - Stewardship/Media-Communications/Sponsorship-Dealer/Multi-club interface/Grants-Funding
2009 ride schedule visit Events | Quad Squad in addition to ad-hoc or non-club (ATVF/Dutch) related rides.
Feb 14th- Family Day ride and Pot luck lunch Ghost Airstrip
March 14th- Day ride and cook out McLean Creek
April 25th- Poker Rally and Geocache event at McLean Creek
May 15th- 18th- May Long weekend Camping and riding Ghost Airstrip
June 20th- We are planning on a ride in here venue to be determined
J uly 17th- 19th CNP Thunder in the Valley. We will be camping in the McGillvery area
July 31st- Aug 3rd- Camp and Ride in the Caroline area Site to be determined.
Sept 4th- Sept 8th- Camp, ride and Pig Roast at Ghost Airstrip.
Sept 19th- Family ride Day ride from South Ghost
Nov 7th- Rebels Fall Ride.. This will be the 6th annual ride.

-Bow Region Stewardship Society (BRSS), AB Projects and Ghost Stewardship Monitoring Committee (GSMC) - present any new info
-Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April - openings for new board members and club volunteers and coordinators
-Questions, comments or suggestions to improve the club or events?

The next meeting will the the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the first week of April, when a new executive board will be voted in by those in attendance. Please inform us if your interested in helping out the club in any way. A separate notification email will be sent for this event at the same time and location.
