PW 50 jetting issue

Hey anyone on here a jetting guru? My son's pw 50 runs like a brick in the moutains, I'm pretty sure it's the jetting (pretty sure 70 stock), only question do I go up in numbers or down I'm thinking 60-65. (I got him a LEM 50 for his next bike can't wait, needs to grow a litle more lol only 4). If you know please reply, he was so bummed this weekend. would not go more than 10 feet get home and it ripped around no problems, well plugs a little wet.

You go down in jet sizes the higher you go (in elevation). As the temperature outside warms up you also jet down.

So if you are running a 70, and the next one down is a 65, I would try a 65. Just go down little by little, don't jump 5 jet sizes at once. You will have to re-jet back up to the 70 for riding around home (don't forget ).

What elevation are you riding at and what is the elevation at your house?

Re: PW 50 jetting issue

Sherwood Park elevation is 2363 ft, Maclean is about 5000 ft (this is Maclean Creek near Calgary??). So almost 3000 ft difference.

Bring a 65 and a 60 as well. read plugs and make sure they are OK before jetting down. Once it runs good, I would stop there. No point in getting greedy on the jetting on a 50. Hope you get it figured out!!
