jetting questions

I'm having some trouble with my 2003 RM 250. The bikes running rich and I think I need to change the main jet.Does anyone know of a good and inexpensive shop to do it for me? I'd try doing it myself but think the price of a jet kit and time might not be worth trying to figuire out.

Re: jetting questions

1/2 hr max to change but first you really need to figure out if it's running fat at wot or if its the first 1/3 of your throttle.then the rest is done with needle and air fuel adjustments.do you even know what jets are in the bike now and did you just replace a pipe or silencer?

Re: jetting questions

HAve you cleaned you airfilter. cause if its dirty that can cause it to run rich because of not enough air to the amount of gas

Re: jetting questions

I cleaned the air filter and oiled it. It has the standard pilot jet that it came with(factory) and I haven't changed the pipe. It'll start with 2 kicks but won't idle without giving it gas. What is the cost of a jet kit? I've been out of the loop for too long.
