How much are guys paying for insurance on your dirt bikes.....I got a quote for my 07 wr450 of 267.00 for fire theft and liability....pw50 149 liability only....seems high...State Farm in Alberta

160.00 year 2m liability comprehensive (fire theft ) (johnson insurance)
insurance is higher on bike due to the greater risk of injury on a dirt bike as the liability insurance also covers you the rider
you can reduce the cost by raising your deductible

also dirt bike insurance cost more based on engine size so 4 stokes automaticaly cost more due to displacement alone

they phoned me back....they screwed up quoted me street bike prices....50cc 71.00 and the 450 196 fire theft, and liability.....thats better

Our TS200R and KlX 300 both have on road licence and they are at 260 a piece. The DRZ 125 and CRF 150 are at 150 with off road licence. Necessary evil. Rode once with out all covered and of course were stopped and warned. Since being legal, haven't seen the constabulary since. Cheers

2 KTM 300 EXC's, 1 RM 85, fire, theft, riders 51, 16, & 14 years old & 2 million liabilty ( horses, added potential wildfire costs ) paying $490.00 a year for all 3 through Co-operators. They were the only ones that would put insurance on my kids when they were under 10, but they also have my auto & house insurance. SRD is really going after cost recovery on wildfires, my home owners covers me to 1 million, I added the exta coverage as the way the SRD deals with wildfire cost recovery is very, very troubling ( couple friends got dinged with costs even though they did everything to contain the fire at the time ).
