choke issue

now my issue on my bike....any ideas why the choke on my kx250 wont stay up??? when i cold start it i need a person to hold it up then it kicks over 1st kick. otherwise pain in the arse. it just happened this weekend and saturday it was fine sunday morning was when it happened. no wipeouts or hitting anything so im a little confused?

There is a cir clip at the end of the choke pull rod to keep it up, must be broken. But by the way it sound to me (with your throttle issue you must have a lot of junk in it rust sand etc) Maybe a good idea to take it all apart. When you lube a old cable, all the junk inside that cable goes down and can enter you carburetor.

choke issue is on my kx 250 throttle issue is on wifes ttr125. i fixed throttle issue tho and have now ordered a new choke plunger but will see if the clip is still on there or if its broken off. thanks mat
