phazer primary mess

posting for my bro-in-law.
he took his kids 08 phazer in to get the clutching set to 3 to 6. The "mechanic", did not tighten a weight nut correctly. When it come unglued it made a big mess. Go figure.......the dealer is going bankrupt and has bigger problems to deal with than this.

My question is, if he has to replace the primary, is there a after market that anybody has tried?

Find a used late model Yamaha clutch at a sled wreckers and have it set up for the Phazer. They are durable clutches and should be reasonably cheap to get. The other option is a Comet but then you will have to tinker with it to get the tuning right. Royal Distributing sells them at a good price.

yeah id find a used primary off anything from the 4stokes. the rx1s and up should be easy to find..
