APEX - Error Code 46

Pulled my 07 APEX out of storage and I'm getting a Code 46 on the display

Check the Fault Code Guide & It Says:

Fault Code # 46
ITEM = Vehicle System Power Supply (Monitor Voltage)
SYMPTOM = Power Suppy to FI System Is Not Normal
Fail Safe Action = Output To Grip Warmer Is OFF
Able / Unable To Start = ABLE
Able / Unable To Drive = ABLE

Check Voltage at Boost Leads
Running = 17.44
Off = 14.52

Does not seem right, but I do not have a shop manual.
Anybody know what it is suppose to be?

Thanks

I would have guessed your battery was hooped, but if your getting over 14 volts then it should be ok. try a trickle charge on it for a day then restart. I had that code once after I hit a cornice and broke the plug off my voltage regulator, but i probably wasn't getting over 17 volts running either.

Re: APEX - Error Code 46

Both voltages seem high to me but 17.44v especially. The only time I've ever seens anything greater than 15v on a 12v system was a blown battery. I'd load test the battery or check the voltage regulator & connections.

Not running the battery should read 13.2v (or there abouts if fully charged). I would expect to see running voltages of about 14 - 15v.

good luck,

Shawn.

This is what I was hoping to hear. I will replace the battery with a new fully charged battery and post the results.
Thank you

Re: APEX - Error Code 46

Installed new battery and same code.

It was oil change day Saturday, so while wifey's Phaser was apart I borrowed her voltage regulator. After a minute of idle the code cleared. My new reg will be in tomorrow.
