RT1000 air intake tube

I taked to a guy with a RT1000 he said that he has an air intake tube with a KN filter kit inside. The tube fit in the side so you can not suck in any belt dust anybody hear of this before and where can I get one.

Re: RT1000 air intake tube

I put timbersled air filter kit on my rt1000 and the "kickass" filters have pre-filter screens on them, so the clutch dust can't get into the filters....... Check out www.timberlsed.com

Re: RT1000 air intake tube

06-1000x I have specialtys intake "tube" that attaches to the stock airbox. Inside the stock airbox I put uni-filter pods on the throttle bodies.Nice clean fit and no belt dust. This is something that the mach z guys have been doing with no problems.[/I]

Re: RT1000 air intake tube

The one that specialty used to have eliminated the stock airbox on the sside panel and they had a plastic peice made up the sttached to the side panel that fit just around the original intake screen.. then there was a hose that ran from that over to the stock airbox on throttle bodies.. Very slick set-up.. Sold lots of them but i dont know if they still have any in stock or not.

Oh yah it is easy and works real slick.. Also lose all that weight off of the side panel.. and the motor breathes in fresh cold air from outside..
