Stiff steering on 09 M8

Do the skis on the 09 M8's steer stiff? or is there a way to get the steering lighter? I haven't fiddled around with any shock air pressures yet (sno pro with fox floats). When you are climbing and the skis are in the air it handles like a dream, but other then that it can be hard to steer.

Re: Stiff steering on 09 M8

I have found the same too on my Crossfire 800 2009. A small ajustement with the shock got my skis much lighter and improved the steering. I release some pressure on the spring, a couple turn did it for me.

Embrace your grease gun!

We have the limiter strap in the center position, camo extreme 156", stock skis, and errr....75 psi in the ski shocks I think?

Fill the spindles and steering posts with good synthetic grease - very important.

Re: Stiff steering on 09 M8

To adjust the ski psi you need to set up the rear skid. Lowering the front skid or more spring psi on it will lift the front giving you less ski psi.
