 | Can a cat hood melt?? Just tore all insulation off bottom of hood along with the stock air system im getting the speed werx airbox for the up commin season do i have to worry about my hood taking to much heat ??? if so sould heat tape/wrap work ....? |

 | Re: Can a cat hood melt?? I always take the insulation out and then yah i just heat tape the hood around the vents where the stock insulation had reflective material.

| Re: Can a cat hood melt?? yes a cat hood can melt,,,,as can any hood...heat tape the heck out of it and check clearances , even with heat tape, it can still melt,, i can show you a pic of one that the guy never checked,,, rmember its heat tape not miracle tape... terry
