Hey guys,

I recently purchased a used m8 and both clutches have some pretty good scratches in the sheaves. I'm not sure how the guy scratched them, it looks like some gravel run through it or something...

I'm not worried that they will blow apart on me, but it might eat belts...

Just wondering if its possible to machine the faces down a little or if there are any other methods of repairing the scratches in the sheave faces?

This is my first longer track sled, ive only owned 121" before this. Will i be able to get around in the mountains with this track? Ill only make it to the mountains once a season so it wasnt worth it for me to buy an m series, cause 99% of my riding is in the Saskatchewan prairies. Im not worrying about high marking just being able to ride... please let me know boys! Thanks.

Anyways, aside from the name this seems like a decent kit and I'm just about ready to slap down the $1000 american for it to make my 2007 M8 into a "Mountain Crushing Machine" (again? c'mon SLP...bad day in the creative description dept??)

...but before i do i'd like to hear from someone who has done this...they seem to be pushing the entire kit...i know the exhaust kit works well, but curious if the rest of it works well enough in conjunction (without a fuel controller) to justify the extra cash...

C3 Arctic Cat Hoods
M series carbon fiber hoods are vacuum bagged and infused with epoxy resin for super flexibility and strength. They are much lighter than OEM or polycarbonate parts. They are very strong and do not become brittle in the cold.
They feature a laid back gauge mount for improved visibility. An optional enlarged air plenum on the underside is also available to retain the stock air box. Fits all Arctic Cat M series sleds and weights only 4.5 lbs!

We make both Carbon Fiber and Fiber Glass Hoods

C3 High Flow Air Intake Insert
This air intake insert modifies your M-Series hood by drawing increased airflow by adding additional vents and intake surface. It works by transforming your console/dash into a new upper air box which allows your sled to pull cold air from an elevated position for improved performance in deep snow.

I would imagine you guys have heard this but I didn't find a thread on it here. I took my DD drive cover off today because they are making a big deal out of a bearing failure on an other fourm. The bearing is piled up in mine as well as almost everyone else that took there cover off. I have about 400 miles on mine and that's not much for this to be happening. If your oil looks a bit dark I would pull the cover. Gonna take it to the dealer tomarrow and see what they say but the answer will be did you put any aftermarket parts on.
