Own a 04 Dodge diesel dually 1 ton ,05 3/4 ton with a gas Hemi , 07 3/4 with a gas Hemi. Remember forget H.P. numbers it's all about ft. lbs. of torgue. If you trailer heavy and steep the diesel will shine and the gasser will whine. Also remember slowing down in winter conditions with the engine and not the brakes keeps everything straight,Diesel shines again big time. The gasser are much nicer to pump around town in even if you chip your diesel.Rent one of each and give it a try . Good Luck
