Ya my 700 did the same thing now mine would do it in low range,the reverse light comes on and it hits the limiter..It thinks it is in reverse.It is the reverse sensor switch.iwas told this by alot of people ..And they also told me to adjust the shift linkage slightly.On mine it is a one wire sensor located on top of the tranny pretty well in the center where the linkage goes into the tranny ,,should be about $30.00 to replace.I changed mine adjusted the linkage and works great.Hope this helps
