Re: I guess we're not allowed to warn fellow sledheads

I completely agree with all that has been said with this thread....Moderators you are doing a smashing great job..wouldnt want your jobs.

And yes what goes around comes around...the message is out there and hopefully things will happen for the positive as it is a great location.

We have had of course the bad experience (the thread in question) but a good one last year too. Hope the March one is good as well time will tell.

Sorry to all that have not had good experiences at "GH" and hopefully those of you that have had good times there continue to have those good times..

Happy trails & safe sledding - JC

Re: I guess we're not allowed to warn fellow sledheads

I guess some people see the power of these threads. Look what happened to the "PEAKS" under the "OLD" ownership. They got a very bad name. Word on the threads new owners are "great"

I'm not for sensorship. I heard it was a nice supper up on Frisby that the glasier house put on for the club exec.

Anyone want to buy a gift certificate for glasier house for one night stay? Got it as a Xmas gift, will sell cheap, I won't be staying there if I can help it.

I certainly hope you were joking about the gift certificate for sale. Consider how that would make the giver of the gift feel. You know they shilled out at least $100 for it. Unless you plan on returning the money to that person I would reconsider and just try it out one night for yourself.... Just my .02

Good Luck!!!

No joke here "papa"

I know alex and what he's like. Remember how his guide got caught in the Caribou closure, there was no fine, they were to do some work as penalty and they still have not done it. Just get caught in the closure and see if you get off like they did.

The giver of the gift would respect what ever I decide, it didn't come with any strings attached.

So what is your suggestion? Just not use it so I don't upset those (who know nothing about hotels in Revy, they just found it on-line) that gave it to me.

Would selling the gift certificate, taking the money and using it at another hotel meet with your approval?

Maybe I will return the money to people who gave it to me plus more than it cost them to buy. Would that be okay with you?

Re: I guess we're not allowed to warn fellow sledheads

A place like that is where the wife and I want to retire too....however not sure a 5 million dollar mortgage is in my retirement plans.....

Too bad the owners are shmucks because it looks like a little piece of heaven. I'm sure under the right management it would be a gold mine.
