Not signed I don't think. Was told this by the County a few years back when seeing if we could do ATV Tours to the Minesite.
Let's Get Dirty,,,,, In the Mud!!!
That is why IF you go in , YOU PARK THE QUAD AND WALK, it's only a few minutes in on foot!! Yes it is west of the 3rd trestle ( by the way no one is allowed to quad or bike across that 3rd trestle!!!). If you are not sure the 3rd one is the one with all the tracks still in place, DO NOT CROSS IT with any machine or face fines~!!!! But yes you are right in that area i did not see any signs telling you to keep out, other than a broken stop sign at the 3rd trestle.

That is one of the things county needs to do when the rail-line trail (or before) is up and running for rides,,,,,,,,, is sign things for tresspasing,,,,,, designated trails etc.......... I was a steward for the Kakwa Wildland Park for several years and that was the biggest beef was signage,,,,, with sledders,,, you cannot tell there is a bent over sign under 6 feet of snow,,,,,,,, and it always came down to the budget!!!! But on the final year I was up in the kakwa they did put up new signs along the meadows on the AB side. But it still didnt stop some from riding past the signs to take a dump in the bushes

Wow i did not know that was there, great pic's. I think there is another one like that in Big Valley, i'm sure i seen one like that on a tour we went on (the old steam train ride from Settler to Big Valley and back). On the tour we did not have time to go over and check it out.

When you talked of the caboose \i thought you meant the one at Chambers Creek area..riding for years out west and have never seen this one..interesting.. we used to dirt bike from the powerline and over to the mine before it became a Historic site..hoping things go well with the rail-line trail to Nordegg, but is gonna take awhile...

Well once things start to happen i would love to help out if that would make a difference in the construction of the trail. It sure is a nice ride out to Nordegg and back.I hope it is only open to ATV's

If and when the county builds it, they will use contractors and big equiptment and will do it in stages, starting from Nordegg and working there way towards Rocky. It WILL NOT be an ONLY ATV TRAIL, it will be a multi use trail open to cylcing, snowmobiles,Atv's,hiking, horseback, horse drawn wagons etc. BUT NOT TO JEEPS & 4X4 TRUCKS. They want to build it with no more than 10% GRADE (slope) and hard pack shale / gravel base. There plan is to have it as a main artery trail with other more challanging trails shooting off in certain areas.
