Edson 7th Annual Poker Rally

When: Saturday July 4,2009

Registration: Saturday Registration 8 am - 11 am

Location: Staging area is approximately 16 kms west of Edson, turn north on range road 192 (Swanson Road), 8 kms to staging area on right hand side. Signs will be posted Sat. morning along the highway and RR192

Info: All hands must be in by 5:00pm
Prizes distributed starting at 6:00pm
Poker rally registration includes a ticket for a burger and pop after the last check point. Free hot dogs available at the third check point.

Prizes for top three poker hands
Lots of door prizes
Raffle tickets/prizes

Club memberships available, single $30, Family $40
Random Camping available at staging area and various areas along the road.
Poker rally distance approx. 50 km

Fun for the whole family!!!

Cool I thought that might be you I was the guy ridin the brute with fire extingusher on the front to wash out rads, Rode with a kodiak and Really loud Grizz that also had a fire extinusher mounted to the rack.

The fire extinguishers are hard to forget, mostly because I was thinking that it would be easier to put a spark arrestor in the grizz than carry two fire extinguishers.

Cool idea though. You should have stopped along the trail and washed the dust out of the participants eyes. Geez, you would have probably paid for your trip if you charged a fee for that service.

My bride and I would like to thank the Edson ATV Club for putting on a very good rally. This is only the second rally we've been on and we really enjoyed it. We met some great folks and we'll be back next year for sure. You guys have some darn nice riding area and it shows with the way you folks maintain the area.

Oh come on now, it's not that loud. Compared to my old ford the grizz kinda whispers.
I would like to thank you and all the other volunteers out there who put together this event. I found it was one of the best organized rallies i have been to, other than the lack of mud and abundance of dust i had a good time. But hey you can't control the weather. To bad i didn't cash in on the prizes, but there's always next year.

Jason Vogt won third place in the 2009 Edson ATV Poker Rally but failed to pick up his cash and did not provide an address or phone number on his registration.

If anyone knows Jason, please have him contact the Edson ATV Club (edsonatvclub@yahoo.ca) so that the club can arrange for payment of his prize money
