Rigid fog lights

I was just wondering if anyone has used thers fog lights. Want to hear about the good and bad about them.

I have a set. Quality product that is built really nicely. Nice wiring and waterproof connectors and it came with a quality switch. Only problem is LEDs don't generate much heat so icing may be an issue.

I will second this. I have 2x 10" rigid light bars on the front of my 3500. My other truck had 2x8"KC and 2x6"KC . The light bars throw more light, further, and brighter. Don't meet me if i forget to turn them off.
BUTTTT they DO NOT throw the heat. ANY fog, and they'll ice up like a bugger. Yesterday i had to stop 4x in 2 hrs to clean that off

I guess I am just not sure what the fascination is with rigid lights? My sierra has 2 factory headlights that light the road as far as one would need to see...And as far as fog lights, I turned mine on once when it was THICK and it didn't make a bit of difference, I actually preferred it with them off.

I have used the Rigid product a fair bit, as far as fog lights go, yellow or blue-grey, not very good in actual fog conditions. The two problems are 1st, like everyone else says they dont produce heat so they ice over, but the other problem they have is in fog or snow the light pattern is to wide, you get alot of high glare, allot like having your high beams on in the fog.

If you use them as driving lights but on the fog switch, they work well, but also HIGHLY illegal and will get you a ticket and immediate removal roadside in BC.

I do ALLOT of nighttime driving and I have spent a small fortune on lights for my truck, in the range of just over $3000.00 and you know what, its worth it. I run JW Speaker LED DOT approved headlights, then I have a set of Sirius HID DOT approved driving lights, then just for kicks I have a 20" rigid light bar which is only operated off the road. And I do leave them covered on the highway. We have a fair amount of resource road driving to do so I use the Rigid's then. Just for kicks I also use the Rigid Dually 2's for back up lights and I gotta tell you, best back up light I have seen by far, compact, easy to mount and crazy good light.

I have the Ridgid 30" light bar on my Sierra. It works awesome. I also have the Vision X lights in my bumper. They also work awesome. They are a little pricy, but when I bought my bumper, I was told that the mounting location was designed for the Vision X lights. The bumper still needed to be modified for the lights. If I'd a known that, I would have put in a set of Ridgid ones instead.

Love mine as well! I have a 20" i bought 2 years ago and they have taken a beatting with the mud and gravel and still fine. I have quite a few middle of the night call outs and its nice to see a moose or deer a long before you get close to hitting them. They make everything a nice bright white light. And make my old light forces look sick. Looking at a 30" and a light bar now.:cool:

had some "nice gentlemen" pass me the other weekend on the highway coming home from the Alberta Beach General meeting with enough LED Lights on the front of his truck to light up Commonwealth stadium, he'd turn them on and off as he felt necessary... blinded me several times behind me.......

Not a fan if you're going to be a douche with them......

Bogger probably saw this guy too.

I hope you bought the covers for that lightbar if you plan on sledding in BC. DOT and RCMP are on a real kick for lightbars and illegal lights in general. If you cant cover them when your pulled over, they will either make you remove them or have your vehicle towed and impounded.

I really hate it when somebody thinks they have to run their high beams and driving lights behind me. Thankfully you can run your work lights (backup lights) with no covers, a couple of seconds of the Rigid Dually 2's usually convinces them to turn em' off.

Yeah I've got the covers for them. Not too worried though. I had 8 Lightforce lights on my Dodge before I sold it. The 4 on the front have never had anything on but the clear lenses. Its good to be prepared, they are now on a blitz for driving lights. There were in "soft" enforcement, now the boys in the shack are telling us its "hard" enforcement.

I have a 20" combo Rigid LED on the front of my F350 and it works AWESOME!! i want to do my fog lights with the Rigid Dually's also this year. It does generate no heat so the snow will stick to it.

The rigids workd awesome for fog lights if you want a superior light to them check out baja designs they have a removable and interchangeable lense system w/options to change the deflectors in the light with out having to order a whole new series of light and there quite a bit brighter than the rigids and vision X lights. we seen a comparison between a 40" rigid and the new 22" ONX from Baja designs and the 22" was quite a bit brighter with a crisper edge it really is a nice light. But the Dally series lights work well rigid has fog light kits available to replace the stock ones.
