Just curious how some of you load dirt bikes on sled decks? I have a 7' truck boss and I bought 2 Risk Racing chocks. I can't exactly figure out how to mount them to a truck boss with out making my own mount bars.

as for loading i've used my winch to get the bike on the deck and coming down i almost lost it as the front wheel didn't grip as well as i thought.

I have ridden bikes up but it's pretty sketchy. I walk them up now. Usually try to turn them around on deck and ride down.

Loading, either ride it up the ramp if there is room, or start it up and walk up beside it. To tie down, two straps to the bars and then to headache rack and one off the peg to the rear.

Usually early season I am loading the bike and sleds as I can ride the bike down low and then ride the sleds up high.

dirt bike is sketchy to ride up.. maybe a bike with a Rekluse clutch would be much easier. I dropped my RM125 on my old deck and it wasn't fun..

For securing the bike.. the Risk racing chocks seem very sturdy but i can't get them bolted to my truck boss without getting my own 1/4" steel plates to make my own brackets.

I have been riding up and walking down. Front brake alone won't slow the bike enough on the way down. Tends to slide. I keep it in gear and use the clutch along with the front brake.

Old thread, but I ride both bikes up the ramp. I find it easiest to get a bit of momentum, and just coast up the ramp. To unload, I just hop on, and roll em back. I tie the bars straight down to the superclamp hooks for the sleds, and one strap through the tires on the back.

Ride it backwards down the ramp? I was always too chicken to try that.
I spin them around up top and ride them down to unload
Yeah, just ride em down backwards is all I do. Need a bit of room to slow down though. With no room I will just leave it in first, and walk it down from the side while using the clutch and brakes to help. I walk the cross bars, and it goes down the super glide for maximum traction. It's usually uneventful. A few times I have hit the ramp too slow going up, and I just coast backwards back down, and run again.
