Hi

I have a 2015 KTM 50 sx. Wondering if anybody knows about adjusting the clutch to make it have less of a hit, it is set at 9 clicks now. My daughter is going to be moving up to this bike from a ttr 50 and I would like to restrict it a bit at first. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I do also have one more question. My little guy moved from the 50 up to a 65, any tips on teaching him to shift gears? He gets the clutch to take off and stop, but he seams to have trouble shifting up.

Thanks

Well not much help coming your way on this site so far.

I don’t have a ktm 50 so I wasn’t commenting as I don’t know anything about its clutch system

But do I have a bunch of other kids bikes.

There may be a few other things that can be done to mellow it out. Maybe a restrictor washer in the pipe? Or retard timing?

As far as coaching on the shifting : I used a set of blue tooth helmet communicators so I could talk to my boy and give advice. I watched while drinking a beer but could talk to him in real time and say “do you hear what your bike sounds like right now, shift! “

Try posting the bike question on Thumper Talk, and you will get your answers.
