Hi folks was out yesterday for a tune up ride and had a good day put on 80 miles now for the conditions

road in is not plowed yet past the y at the chinnok lakes bend and the staging area parking lot also not plowed yet roads and trails had about 2 feet but seemed the farther north you went the skinnier it got seemed like a lot of clear cutting went on over the summer so there are land mines every where off trail was snowing all day yesterday and hopefully will continue for a while some warmer weather will set this up as a good base and all will be good

stoped in at the cabin looks like fresh paint and a good clean up wood was stocked but lights not working (for me anyway) thank you sno crow riders for your effort

here a couple of pics:)

They will not plow the road again this year, and It sounds like the parking lot will not be plowed ( Not sure on that one and will find out Friday at the meeting)
But the road from the staging area will not be plowed for the 2nd straight year.

Isn't that a good thing? I remember years of 4ft on that road and the last few we hit gravel and a lot of trucks were on the road making crossing dangerous.

I'm curious about this as well, Are they planning on not plowing the road to the Atlas staging area and the staging area as well? Or are you talking about them not plowing the road north of the staging area?

They will not plow the road North of the staging area like last year. The parking lot I am not sure of, but if it has been plowed already, then I am sure they will.

Who has been cleaning the staging area out? Is it not the mun. of Crowsnest?
I thought the road being plowed north of the shelter was the local gas company to access the various metering and or line isolation stations along the way till the station just before the north shelter access. Sorry I dont remember the name of the gas company but now days they change to change names so often you need a score card to keep track.

Devon used to do it until last year ( That is the company PI), The Club is starting to groom Tommorrow, but will be making creek crossings ( Snow bridges) and when those are done, trails ( They still need a fair bit more snow). They did not want to start until after hunting season as the hunters drive on them and wreck them
( Trails).:nono:
