Rode Atlas today...snow wasn't great until you get past the cabin. The warmer weather and brutal winds the last couple weeks haven't helped. More snow and cooler temps are in the forecast so it should get better.

Are their any good trail maps of the Blairmore, Coleman and Fernie riding areas. Trip is a Family mostly groomed trail ride. We are staying at Coleman. Will be riding Feb 16, 17, 18 and 19th.

The only decent map I could find was a quad map at the local husky. It was around $10. If you check the Crowsnest quad squad site you can download a PDF.

I bought this at the Stop Inn motel in Coleman but I think that husky has them too. It's a Spanky map that shows all the trails and shelters north and south of the highway. If you let me know if you are going through Sherwood Park I can lend it to you.

Well those 2 places I know had them just ask and they might tell you were to get if they are out. It's a micro fiber goggle wipe.

Yes there is lots of snow to ride from Atlas staging still. The parking lot itself was starting to turn to slush on Saturday, could be a little muddy now

Anyone riding up to the cabin yet?

Ya was curious how much snow was there. Our buddies are a little unadventuress and were wanting to head down there sometime soon

The avalanche field team staged out of Atlas yesterday (Friday, December 14) and have a report on the avalanche.ca site. Pretty skinny and generally about 25 cm. They found some avalanches on Window Mountain.

I am looking to take a trip to Atlas or York around the 26th or 27th of Dec. I need to break in my motor & a couple belts- does anyone know what the snow and trail conditions are like?
