I can't seem to load any pics but conditions are definitely looking good so far. There's been a good dump of white gold on the Crow and looks great from the highway up the Atlas valley towards Window and Deans Park. The forecast looks good with some freezing temps coming at night and snow in the next 10 days or so. If I have time in the morning I'll go for a drive and see what it looks like past the staging area. Can't wait to get this season going...Braaapp!!

Rode Atlas today...definitely no off trail riding and even on trail still bouncing off the odd rock or frozen lump but there is a good start to a base. A couple more good dumps will make a huge difference. On a bad note I'm not sure what's going on but the staging area is all torn up with construction, the road is cleared at least to the turn off to Deans Park, the ATV bridge is gone at the turn to the cabin and replaced with a vehicle bridge...anybody know what's going on there??? I'm going to assume logging and use the staging area as a load out?? Hope this isn't going to be the deal all winter or the pipeline is going to get hammered a lot worse than what it already does...might have to try and stage further up the road.

Any updates on the Atlas road situation or general snow conditions? Lookin to get out for a ride around the 2nd week of december, and bringing a newbie. Figured Atlas road up to the warming cabin was the best combination of easy and scenic. Not sure I'd bring her down the pipeline first day out lol

Were not bad last weekend. Road was a little drifted, they haven't been Plowing it enough. In the bowls was pretty wicked snow for mid November. Still some hidden rocks, etc. Fresh in the trees in first bowl was waist deep

Apparently the logging company that was in there over the summer had a couple pieces of equipment left they needed to get out and that was the only way, at least that's what I've been told. The road is suppose to be left alone the rest of the winter and I guess they gravelled the parking lot and put some washrooms in...not confirmed but that's the rumour.

Atlas is a great area for newbies and experienced...lots of riding for everyone and you don't need to stick to just the road.

Would like to know as well.. thinking about heading down to see what the snow is like.. a buddy of mine said it rained in the valley and there is no real snow until about 5k ft.. but I am curious, and would like to at least get out there and see.. although breaking a sled isn't worth early season riding..

Just heard from a customer that it's all gone. Said you can drive almost to the cabin.

The little purple blotches are where off trail snowmobiling is allowed.
