My first computer was an Amiga - oh those were the days when every program was driven by a floppy disk (in/out/in/out/in/out)
Moved up to a Mac and have only owned Mac's.
Simple, logical and user friendly.

Now if we could just get "women" like this?????

I think U just need to "re-BOOT" more often!

I'm using an iPad right now and FRICKEN love it. All day battery, map/gps is unbelievable. I run a program called MobileMe that links this baby to my pc and my iMac so I have all my needed documents at any time. I'm using the 64g 3G unit. Air time is dirt cheap with Bell. Like 5gigs for $35 a month.
Once you've gone over to a Mac for a few months you will be amazed at how little patients you have left for a PC :d

Hey I am on an imac and love it. However things are getting a bit slow. Should I reformat like I used to on my PC or is there a better way of 'cleaning' it up? I do want to keep some stuff though cause I use it for work also.

Thanks

Yea, it started with an iPhone then it went to an iPad and ended up with a Mac pc and must say it has been worth it. Love all of them, way easier to use.

one of the best things to do to get it running faster is to download a program called clean my mac it basically takes all of the drag along stuff from your programs and gets rid of it. i have it on my imac and my macbook pro

What does that spinning colored wheel mean? the screen freezes and eventually it will go away. Do macs get viruses and all the other things that a pc gets?

I have never had a virus problem with any of my Macs in 5 years and I have been to some shady places on the web...haha... but thats just my experience...not to say it cant happen.

Slow Mac. Try this. Clean up the desktop. Put all stuff in folders then into hard drive. Go to Applications> Utilities> Disk utility. Click on Mac HD or whatever you've named your computer. Click on repair disk permissions. Do this every couple of weeks. Linux/Unix systems require little maintenance, but this is one of them.
