Has anyone been into Hummingbird recently.

Was out last weekend up Ranger Creek. Parked right off 752. We stopped short of the end about 2-3’ of total snow, as we were breaking through the creek, had no avy gear, one buddy was running a shorty and it was cold AF(-23c)lol... Lots of potential for a serious problem late in the day, bitter cold and windy, so a good decision was made. Snow was bottomless and hollow, whumphing and dropping when you got off trail anywhere to turn around. However its always nice to get out in the mountains with good friends and see the sights. Beats workin!

Heard from a guy on Alberta sledderz that was out there this last week. Apparently not much at all and not worth the drive

Took the kids out to baseline mountain with their GTs yesterday and towed them to the top a couple times. Enough snow to cruise a logging road but that’s about it. No more out there than there is around the rocky area.

the problem with that area is it gets snow, but the high winds blow it out of the valley's, large rocks and boulders inflict major financial damage? which is never fun! there is a nordegg road cam that may give an idea of snow?

Yeah in my experience Scalp Creek is a much closer drive and usually a quick ride in. If the snow sucks there and the wind has taken it out of there i usually don't bother going to check Ranger, Hummingbird or Onion Lake as they are likely in the same condition.
